what the heck is going on here?
alright... so I'm sitting here at work, chomping on a half-frozen microwaveable burrito, and I get to realizing that I'm going to be a husband in less than a month.sweet.
I wrote more of a song that I started years ago. I began writing this song knowing that I would give it to my wife one day, although I didn't know who that would be. I was tempted on a few occasions to dedicate it to different people, but I didn't. And then less than a year ago I was playing in the sanctuary and Laci walks up and asks,
"Hey, what's that?"
"Something I wrote" I replied. And then without really thinking I said, "I'm going to give it to Heather."
*gulp* what did I just say?
"Oh wow, um... you might not want to do that" Laci said. "That's a beautiful song. You might want to be sure of some things first."
And so I pondered that for a while, and it was at that moment that I realized that I KNEW I was in love with Heather. IN LOVE. I KNEW that I wanted to marry her and be her one and only. Forever. Sitting at the piano in the sanctuary. Good times.
So anyway, I have since then added on to it turning it into a soundtrack for our marriage and married life. And I plan on writing corresponding themes for our kids... wow... that's a lot of music.
