south by northeast

Heather, Zay, Rhonda(like the pants), Auntie Mel and Uncle Katie all traveled up to Ginger Beach with the Lockett famerly on Friday. We got back to Fort Mill today.

First, I'm sorry if I didn't get to see you, we weren't avoiding people it's just that when you're married and you have a child that is also a grandson of people you love, your priorities have to shift. I wish we had weeks to spend back home and catch up with everyone, but that's what happens when people leave.

We had a good trip. The van still wouldn't start on Friday morning so we split up the passengers between the Bimmer and the Lockett Van and we all took the 6 hour treck to Ivor to see the Cranes. Saturday morning Heather, Zay, Rhonda Pants and I went to see my parents and stopped at Scott and Michele Wilcher's on the way. It was soooo good to see them. We got over to my family's house just in time to hand the baby to Poppy, Al and Fae, and go see Jared in Music Man. It was a good show. Saturday night we hung out at "home" and watched Night at the Museum, Autumn came over, we mostly stared at Isaiah though. On Sunday we made the decision to visit my parent's church and see their new building, and our old friends. THEN came the highlight and sole purpose of the entire trip. CONDORMAN! DUNdun, dun DUN dun DUNdun, dun DUN dun DUNdun dun DUN dun CONdorMAN! Whooooo boy. 'nuf said. Then the beach, Alex, Kyle, bye Rhonda, hi Hannah, Frisbee, Rachel, hi William, frisbee, dive, sand, mouth, hurt, face, blister, limp, home, dinner, Paul, Nick Shellie, Classified, "I'm Walking!", sleep, barely, drive, work, home, computer, cards, blog. That pretty much brings us up to date. Questions?

Hannah Crane is staying with us for a week so now I have 4 sisters under the same roof and an Amy 1 mile away.

If you're not coming this weekend with people for the morningstar conference, then, well... you should.

I'm not sure when we'll be coming up next, but if it's soon, then maybe we can spend more time with friends.

Well, just thought I would give you an update. Oh, and if Rhonda tries to sell you a story about me pushing her out of a moving car, it's all lies. But so far, everyone's believed her.

let's try this again

So I updated my website a little more... I'm taking baby steps toward what I think I want, and then just when you think I have it at a point where I should be happy, I'll surely re-design it.

Say, "La Vee"

In the process of updating the websiternatorbot I had to transfer my blog over to a different server. So that means that all of your witty comments and sly remarks have been lost in the caverns of the interweb. Sorry. I enjoyed reading them twice as much as you enjoyed writing them, but I really just don't have the time and energy to retype your words into my blog. If you like, you can go back, read my old bloggings(which sounds suspiciously like something that happens out of your nose during a cold, or something that happens out of the back of a dog) where was I? Oh yes, you can read my old... writings, and re-comment. It's up to you.

I have a new song up on myspace. myspace.com/hugeboxofcrayons or myspace.com/orangestickman and just listen. This one isn't a joke emo song like Disco Days. I actually had people tell me that they liked disco days and they asked me if it was about my ex-girlfriend. I told them it was about a Sound of Music poster and too much caffeine too late at night with beef and jared. With that explanation, it kinda kills the "emo" mood that you're going for. Now it's just dumb. But at least it's emotional the first time you listen to it. That is, if you're 14. And emo already.

But this new song is called Put Me On. Rhona heard it. She threw up. Those last two sentances aren't really related in anyway... in fact, I'm just assuming that at some point in her life she has thrown up. Speaking of barf, I'm hoping to get the Blueberry fixed today so we can come up to Ginger Beach this weekend. And we'll bring Rhonda. Barf and all.

"Dance like no one's watching" <-- terarded. I think you should dance like God is watching. And dancing along with you. At the Rumble last night they had drums galore, and it was a crazy dance party. hollar.

It's 12:22am and I'm tired. Bagel chips eh? Welp, see ya later.

oh how He loves us

I struggle a lot with temptation, pride, lust, jealousy, anger, selfishness... The list goes on. I'm dirty and my heart is dark, wrapped in sin and self-promotion. I am human. I am broken. That's what I see when I look at me.

But God is jealous for me.

Looking past all of the layers of filth, God sees a son that He created. A child with a skinned knee. God sees his little boy who he created and died for. That's what God sees when He looks at me.

I am human. That's why God loves me. He doesn't love the sin I do, but He loves the sinner I am. And even though I don't give up sinning, He won't give up loving me.

This is not an excuse to live a life of rebellion and sin, rather the love that God puts on open display for me, spurs me toward living my life as if everything I just said is true. Because it is true. I want to love God by not sinning. I want to love God by trusting Him. I want to love God by sharing Him. I want to love God because He first loved us.

He loves us. Oh how He loves us.

gassed

The 1983 Vanagon Wasserboxer (the blueberry) refused to start this morning, and our fuel pressure regulator wanted to blow up the van. So we're not in VA. Sorry.

We'll keep trying weekend after weekend.

manokino

So we're coming back to VA for a weekend. From the 20th to the 23rdthish. And we are bringing a chunk of Fort Mill with us. That chunk is called Rhonda. Like the pants.

The little zay man is getting huge, and last night he almost crawled. He was telling us about it after he got home with the car.

Speaking of cars, we sold the 4Runner and bought a 7 passenger VW Bus. We named it The Blueberry because it tastes so good.

We finished painting our living room with stripes on one wall, and we are slowly getting the kitchen done and bringing more furniture into the condo. It's fun living with the twins and having people over and having a yard. :)

Please pray for us, we are on a tight budget and cars are breaking down, teeth need looking at, food needs to be bought, taxes need to be paid... God is blessing us in ways that are undeniably Him. He knows exactly what we need, way before we know it, and He continues to prepare a place for us.
