real quick
as opposed to fake quick.
This is the vehicular wonderment that The Bethune Family will be taking across the country this summer... in fact, starting next week. WOO HOO!
I irony is that it's an old Cox Communications truck. I can't seem to get away from them.
I'm totally swamped, so this isn't a long post, but if you're looking for something to read... click here

Get ready for TheCall. There are so many hotels that are sold out right now, it's amazing.I'll be posting in this blog off and on, but I've moved my blogging focus over to thebethunefamily.com. Heather and I will be giving you all the scoop on the Summer of Love Tour, and what's next for our family.
With that, I leave you with this:
Imagine this as Heather and I this summer.

Hey Virginians, it was good to see you this past weekend. If we didn't get a chance to look at your faces and smell your clothes, it's because we were only in VA for a couple days, and our families are one of the most precious things to us.And it was Father's Day this past weekend. My first Father's Day card from Isaiah was covered in a million kisses. In fact, it was falling apart because his kisses are so slobbery.
I am so busy the next two weeks, I'm working on projects for ZHOP, TheCall, TheCause, Aswan North, some freelance logo design, ThePassport.org, and trying to get ready for this summer tour.
I will make this post brief because Isaiah is sitting on my lap and he is being manly. He loves keyboards and my glasses, the two things that are essential for blogging. Heather just finished dinner too, so I'm going to go eat.Labels: family, heather, isaiah, Thecall, thecause, vacation, virginia beach

Heather, Zay and I are in Virginia right now hanging out with the Crane Family on the Annual Crane Family Vacation on the Chesapeake Bay. Isaiah loves the water. Not just the pool, but he loves the waves and the sand, and he is totally comfortable around it. He doesn't really like the taste of sand, but he keeps forgetting, so I'll bet he'll keep on eating it. Last night we stayed with my family and had a nice dinner, and Autumn was there. Late last night I went over to Paul's house and had a classic life group. It was extraordinary.I'm in the process of yet another design for orangestickman, and a little change in direction for my online life. Now that I'm blogging more, and this is becoming more of a portal for connection to the rest of my family and the particulars of our lives, I'll be centering the design and navagation of the site to reflect that. While we are on the road, I'll also be presenting an interactive map with where we are, and where we've been as we travel the country this summer. Hopefully that will be complete with videos and picture galleries, but I'm not promising anything. I'll just make Isaiah work on it, he needs a chore.
We just sold the automatic BMW. It was bittersweet. I loved that car, and we really didn't even get that much face-time because once we moved down here we let Reigner borrow it for a few months, and then right when we get it back, we sell it. But I got my money's worth out of it. We still have the stick-shift and the broken Blueberry. If someone has a Jeep they want to donate to The Bethune Family, then I say, "ok".
The internet access at the hotel the Cranes are staying at is $10 for a few hours... That's crazy. So I figured out how to connect through bluetooth to my blackberry onto my macbook.
Dangit, why does everything have to be about food when I'm fasting? Blackberry, Apple, for some strange reason even bluetooth makes me hungry.
I posted a couple lone videos last time, so this post with be sans video.

Wow, I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. This week has been so hectic, I can't even get into it. But I will a little bit. I've been working on The Lost Glory Promo Video, ZHOP Promo Video, MorningStar Simulcast, Summer of Love Promo, TheCall media and leading worship for a set almost everyday from 10 to midnight. I haven't been home much at all.I don't know what's going on. I don't know where to do next, I don't know where we'll have money for this Summer, I don't know what I'm going to be doing in 5 years. I don't know much, and I like it that way. If I knew what was going to happen next, then it wouldn't be any fun when it happened.
Isaiah is hugenormous. He really wants to crawl, and walk, and drive, but he just can't get the hang of it yet.
Mike, Mary and MomC were here for a day to pick up Jerry and visit the girls and I. It was good to see them, and Mike played with me on the set last night.
I'm doing some freelance work for some local and non-so-local ministries. The ZHOP promo I just finished up might be my best work thus far. It was really great to work with Adam and the crew over there, they are so creative and open to what's never been done before. Adam and I share the same heart for media and creativity in the church. It was really encouraging when he told me to take risks, break rules, and be myself. It reminded me of when Scott told me to "handle it". I was able to just do my thing, and I got it done in only two days because it was something that I wanted to do... I had a passion to get it done and I wasn't being micro-managed. I showed a draft, and they had some changes, but they were welcome criticisms because they loved the look and they could handle the edge.see it on the videos page.
I'm also doing just a little website work for ThePassport.org. I didn't design the website, I'm just helping hook up some links and edit some code. Read up on that organization, they are doing some awesome stuff. I hope to work with them in the future.
I'm actually really excited about after this summer. I have no idea what's in store, but we're pretty sure that we're coming back here to Fort Mill in the Fall. I might start doing more with ZHOP and Aswan North, but we do know that we want and need to stay in the atmosphere of a house of prayer. Either way, I might have to start waiting tables or get a real job if I want to keep doing freelance work for ministries. Please pray for us about that. Money is tight. Straight up tight.
