Turn Your Blinker Off

I have been married to Heather Joy for two years and she still loves me. We had a nice anniversary celebration where I took her around town to several places we had history from our relationship and courtship. I love her.

Isaiah has been liking all the attention he's been getting from aunts and uncles and grandparents and friends. He has been chasing other people's Christmas presents around the house and pulling ornaments off of the tree. He got into some chocolate and hasn't turned back.

I'm sick of getting spam for Viagra.

Heather has been 23 for a week.

We are home sweet home now, and I'm working on trying to get my office to a state of pleasantness. We are having a fondue party tonight, so if you're in town and you know where we live, come on by anytime after dark.

I have been having a lot of fun with my new camera and have been slowly learning the settings. I'm excited about the new things I can do with this tool, but at the same time I am trying to remind myself that it's not about the equipment, it's how you use it. And I intend to use it.

I did use it this past weekend at my wife's friend's wedding. I shot and will edit the ceremony in a way not normally done. I'm experimenting with methods, angles, settings, music, and I'm using Diana and Joel as my subjects. They are both pretty artistic, so I think they will appreciate this original approach. I'll also be using the video as a demo for myself to get more freelance projects down here in Charlotte.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the wisdom and discipleship of Scott and Michele Wilcher. I have had the awesome opportunity to work with Scott for several years, of which many of those were tough on both of us. Scott had so much to do with who I am now and the man I am becoming. Scott is a person who can identify an issue that I have and instead of pointing it out right away, or telling me what to do, he asks questions and messes with me enough so that I can work through the process of improvement. He is so brilliant that way, and he does that on more than just a personal level, he can accomplish it corporately. He can stand in a room of people, ask a question in a way non-threatening yet aggressive, and have it change people's lives. The beauty of the way he has conversations is that he sits there not pretending to be a friend or a peer, but with a genuine interest in your life, and he doesn't come down hard on you or your issues unless he knows that you need it. I appreciate him and his family more than I know.
